Knowledge And Development

October 27th, 2009

There is a virtuous equation between knowledge and development. It is a known fact that only knowledge can lead to development in any society. There is consciousness among the people about the complexities of the world. There is a growing need for change in our understanding about the interdependence of phenomena, uncertainty and the predictable and unpredictable results of our actions. There are three key aspects that should be considered while studying the relationship structure between knowledge and development. Firstly new methods have to be encouraged, secondly when creating development policies there should be link between research and policy, third and finally there should be ethical consideration of social interventions also.

Fuel Addiction

September 2nd, 2009

Well the topic says much more than the content, but it’s an undeniable truth we are addicted to these fossil fuels, and without it we believe we are incapable of doing anything. Now is it really, but it may be true because to control such a huge population and meet the demands of all of us we really need the energy given by these invaluable fuels. But I say we would do much better without them, think of all the benefits rather than the negatives. If there is no fuel to run our toxic contraptions called vehicles we all will be forced to walk, bicycle, or use any other type of transport that requires our physical input. If such a thing comes you will never be able to see another obese person in your life again, which will in turn save many lives from diseases and without all those engines running the only sound you will be able to hear is the chirping of birds and the only air you will be ever breathing will be the cool breeze from trees. When fuel finally ends global warming will reduce, more species of plants and animals will begin to emerge, numerous diseases due to pollution will be prevented, obvious nations can fight each other no more so many lives will be saved, the atmosphere will change back to its original state and altogether the whole of Earth will be restored to old beauty. But at the end it will be one hell of a lot boring but let’s see the benefits and at least try to be happy about it and be proud we have successfully come out of one addiction.
